The new and improved 405 CX boast an improved heart monitor, a better heart rate calorie burn algorithm, which increases the accuracy of calorie counting. The Forerunner 405CX was designed my world class athletes and exercise scientists, the Forerunner 405CX monitors the micro changes in a user’s heart rate and uses that detailed information to calculate the number of calories burned during aerobic activity.
